We are thrilled to share the remarkable progress EERN has made in the 2022/2023 year. Your unwavering support has led to significant growth, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together.

In the previous year, 2021/2022, we had 814 agency accesses, a clear sign of our commitment to making a difference in our community. Now, let’s take a closer look at the incredible achievements of the 2022/2023 year:

🌟1337 agency accesses to our warehouses, marking a staggering increase of over 500!

Here’s a breakdown of the items distributed to various client groups:

πŸͺ‘ Bedroom furniture – 628 items to 321 client groups

πŸͺ‘ Lounge suites/chairs – 668 items to 262 client groups

πŸ›Œ Sheet sets/sheets/pillows – 1051 items to 389 client groups

πŸ›Œ Blankets/doonas – 760 items to 326 client groups

🍽️ Kitchen items – 975 items to 249 client groups

🍲 Food/hygiene/laundry – 199 items to 159 client groups

🎁 Miscellaneous – 391 items to 172 client groups

In total, an incredible 8371 items were distributed to those in need. But that’s not all!

We also collected 980 pickups from the public, who generously donated their furniture and other items for recycling, further strengthening our mission of sustainability.

Our EERN facility was open for approximately 241 days, during which we dedicated 108.50 hours to assisting 223 client groups in selecting items that make a meaningful impact in their lives.

A huge shout-out to our dedicated volunteers! On average, we had 12 volunteers rostered every weekday, each contributing around 4 hours of their valuable time. Over the course of a year, these amazing individuals generously gave a minimum of 11,600 hours to operate EERN.

This phenomenal support from our community has been the driving force behind our success. Thank you for being part of the EERN family and for helping us make a real difference in the lives of so many. Let’s continue working together to create a brighter and more sustainable future for all. 🌟

EERN is open to Member agencies and their clients under the following guidelines : (i) Agency workers submit a formal Request for Goods through the supplied web-link request form and have received emailed confirmation of the agreed visit date and time; (ii) adhere to scheduling of warehouse visits; and (iii) where possible, pickup goods on the same day as they are selected by the clients.

The EERN warehouse team are happy to select requested items ready for pickup by the client’s carrier or courier.  A new booking system for pickup of tagged items has started operations.

EERN Warehouse Policy.   Agency clients can enter the warehouse with or without an Agency case worker. For the safety of our volunteers, all visitors must sign in, preferably wear a mask, maintain social distancing and not attend the warehouse if they have flu symptoms.

EERN volunteers accept, collect and warehouse donated recycled quality furniture, white goods, bedding, kitchen items and small electrical appliances. Non-perishable food, personal hygiene items and financial donations are gratefully accepted.

EERN partners with community-based agencies (Members) working within the cities of Boroondara, Knox, Manningham, Maroondah, Monash and Whitehorse.

EERN provides clients of these agencies access to the large, cost free stock of items listed above and, emergency food hampers and hygiene packs for immediate needs.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where we work and live. We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging. We celebrate the stories, culture, and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders of all communities who also work and live on this land.
